Procaine is a local anesthetic that works by blocking sodium channels in nerve cell membranes, reducing the transmission of nerve impulses. Discard this medication after 28 days of first use or according to the beyond-use date, whichever date comes first. When disposing of unused medication or expired vials, do not flush or pour down the drain. Follow local guidelines on medication disposal.
